Pilot Projects & Cases

MAB-LAB pilot projects and cases form a collection of practice-based examples developed in collaboration between participating municipalities and biosphere reserves.

The aim is to highlight good practices as inspiration while contributing to the development of next practices for local implementation of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (KMGBF). Through small-scale pilot projects new approaches are tested, documented, and shared across Nordic contexts.

Each case will present methods, key learnings, and experiences, with a focus on transferability and practical application. Together, they demonstrate how global biodiversity targets can be translated into concrete local action.

At this stage, municipalities are being invited to participate in the pilot projects. The first cases will be published here as the projects are initiated and documented.
